Each year, 1.5 million animals from shelters in the US are euthanized. This includes about 670,000 cats and 860,000 dogs. These animals are euthanized because of an injury/illness or lack of space in shelters. 56% of dogs and 71% of cats in US shelters are euthanized, while only 25% of cats and dogs are adopted. There is not enough space in shelters for the 6.5 million animals that are taken there each year. In order to save those animals from euthanization, shelters need help from others. They need help from people who are willing to donate their time, money, or effort to help the animals.
We are raising money to support the Hendricks County Humane Society. Their mission is to educate people about caring for animals, to end overpopulation in shelters, and to find permanent homes for their animals. Our money will go to support them and to provide the shelter with items that they need, such as food or other supplies. We want to help them because we want all animals to find a permanent, loving home.
A donation of any size to our cause would be appreciated. With your help, we will be able to save more animals from euthanization and find them a new home with a loving family.
Just proud of these kids that chose an organization they feel strongly about supporting. There are many animals that need food, shelter, and love....great cause.
