Many teens today have extreme depression and mental illness. Consequently, most of them are suicidal. 19% of teens in Indiana alone have contemplated suicide. Of that, 11% have tried it, making Indiana the second highest state in the country with suicidal teens. This means that 1 in 5 teens have contemplated suicide. Justin is one of those statistics. Justin committed suicide about a year ago. Nothing like this should ever happen to any teen, which is why we have started #stopthebleeding.
#stopthebleeding is asking you to partner with us and Care to Change to decrease the number of teens with suicidal thoughts and actions. #stopthebleeding is raising $1500 to support families grieving the loss of a loved one that committed suicide, helping provide sufficient cost for therapy for suicidal teens, as well as holding a conference to promote suicide awareness.
Using the Todah Give platform, your donation would be between $1 and $55. That means only 55 people need to give to fully fund #stopthebleeding to help families and students who are struggling with suicide. With your contribution and partnership, we will be able to prevent what happened to Justin from ever happening again.

My wife is a mental health counselor and so we both are concerned for those who consider suicide or have any other kind of mental health struggles.

In honor of Aaron Strong, who lost his life so many years ago. He never got to grow up, get married or have kids like my son has. I hope this helps just one Aaron out there.

This is very close to me because my cousin died 4 years ago (hence the amount donated) from a drug overdose and she really struggled with this so I really hope this can help others who struggled with the same thing!

I dealt with this issue when I was a teen firsthand so I know exactly what these kids are going through and hopefully someone will get thru to them

I can’t believe Indiana is the second state with the highest suicide rate... Actually I can believe it and that’s the sad truth. Too many precious lives are gone too soon. I think this is a great cause and 100% support it. God says above all, love one another and this cause represents that.
